Kim Syrinek, M.S., CCC-SLP
Houston Therapist
Kim Syrinek was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Kim knew from an early age that she wanted to work with children. Before finding her true calling as a Speech Pathologist, Kim received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She then moved to Houston where she taught first grade in Aldine ISD.
After working as a teacher for several years, Kim became fascinated with the field of Speech Pathology as she worked closely with the speech pathologist on her campus. She loved seeing the many communication, social, and emotional changes her students made from working with the speech pathologist and knew that she had found her true passion. Kim then went on to receive her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Houston.
Kim previously worked as a school based Speech-Language Pathologist in Cypress Fairbanks ISD, and also has clinical experience working with both children and adults in a variety of settings, including private practice and skilled nursing. Kim joined The Speech Garden in 2019 and loves helping children and their families with their communication needs. Kim has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation & phonological disorders, fluency disorders, and pragmatic disorders. She enjoys working with toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children.
Kim, her husband, and their two boys live in the Oak Forest area. She enjoys reading, cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
